The spirit of partnership
The KNAPP Smart Solutions GmbH, named Apostore GmbH before, based in Gelsenkirchen's famous district Schalke, has developed and produced storage and retrieval machines for over 20 years. These machines store and retrieve thousands of medical products quickly and reliably. The brand Apostore continues providing sophisticated solutions for both retail pharmacies and wholesalers.
Then and today
The success story of the company began in 1986 with the construction of the world's first storage and retrieval robot. Today KNAPP Smart Solutions employs 140 people worldwide. The machines support the daily work routine of pharmacies efficiently and help to optimise the stock management.
KNAPP Smart Solutions is a full subsidiary of KNAPP AG, a technology company based in Hart near Graz in Austria. KNAPP develops and implements storage systems for automated stock management and supplies warehouse logistics software for the entire supply chain of the pharmaceutical industry. With more than 4,200 employees at various locations, KNAPP is one of the leading suppliers of intralogistics and warehouse automation for a broad range of industries. Both companies stand for a strong technology portfolio, industry knowledge and solution competence.
KHT (Kommissionier- und Handhabungstechnik GmbH)
KHT is an engineering company specialised in industrial solutions for warehouse logistics. The product portfolio includes measuring, weighing and storage technology as well as other industrial services.
At the heart of our in-house development, production and project planning are systems for master data acquisition and fully automated small parts warehouses. The company, which was founded in 1986 as a R&D company, has been repeatedly referred to as the innovation leader and European market leader for both product areas.
The industrial solutions of KHT find application in particular within the logistics, production and trade sectors. In 2000, the subsidiary Apostore was founded, which also marked the company's entry into the private pharmacy market and the pharmaceutical logistics sector.
KHT is also a full subsidiary of KNAPP AG, a technology company based in Hart near Graz in Austria.
